Girls really do need curves in this day and age. I love mine for one!!There are many reasons why I love my Blackberry Curve. It's very user friendly. To start with - the Track Pad!! This allows you to easily move from apps and other things located on the screen quite easily. It's just like using a laptop and using yr finger instead of the mouse. I especially find it useful while scrolling up and down the contacts list. Otherwise you've got to click and keep clicking using a finger. I also love logging onto Facebook using the wireless. You can read things and make comments. There is also an app for twitter. It's also got some really nice ring- tones. You can even set different ring tones for different people. I've always thought about it, you know, about the way people used to wash clothes in the days of yore. No washing machines, no Surf Excel! How the dickens did they manage? I don’t want to even think about it. Dipping it in water and beating it on a stone or something. And how long it must have taken? So I really salute the folks who invented these contraptions which have generally made the life of people , especially women a whole lot easier. James King patented the first washing machine which used a drum. Sir, your name should be written on a gold plaque!! Surf Excel is the oldest detergent powder in India and Pakistan. Launched in 1959 , today it leads the Premium Wash category in India. While I can’t say I was the bestest at chemistry or physics, I really do appreciate the brains behind all these discoveries. I mean, did they radically change the life of women or what??!! Thanks to this technology, women now have time freed up for them. You can save atleast 2 hours if your washing is automatic. And in today’s world time is at a premium. A girl has so many things to do – socialize, look pretty, shop, chat, and what not? Well there are many things I would love to do if I had more time. One thing is painting. I love doodling and I think I would spend some time elevating that into a higher form of art. Watching some good movies would also be something I would indulge in. Nowadays, I feel time is precious, so I always think before I put a DVD in. It gotto be really good. Or it would be a plain waste of time. Time which could be used for other things. But I guess the most important thing would be to spend time with family and friends. It’s very relaxing to just chill out with those you love prattling about everything yet nothing in particular.:) PS; This blog post has been written for a contest co- hosted by Indiblogger and Surf!! Qvendo is an online fashion club where you can buy high end fashion from around the world. If there is one thing I want on Qvendo, it's their True Religion Jeans. I know that Kareena Kapoor wears them so I'm pretty sure they would be comfy and stylish at the same time. So the number one item on my wish list would be the True Religion Jeans Billy Spt Women Jeans. I like the white stitching running along the sides. I also have a number of tops to go with it.

Number 2 on my wish list is another pair o' jeans This time it's the True Religion Jeans TR Julie Dark Pony. I just like it for no reason other than it's very stylish!! I don't own a pair of black jeans and I simply love stretch. It's so comfy!! So the next item on my wish list would be the True Religion Jeans Billy Black Stretch.

Now onto watches. Watches are actually very stylish gizmos which are really great accessories. If you wear the right one, you probably don't need anything else on your wrist. For it says everything. Talk about style statement!!

These are the replay watches I came across on the Qvendo site . I'm finding it hard to say which one I like most. You see, they can all be worn well. So, in no particular order.

I love the holes' on the strap of the Replay Ladies Watch - RN3302FH and I think the color 'gold' goes with my skin tone.

The Replay Ladies Watch - RU5504ZA6- has a cool and trendy silver- rhinestone combination. It would go well with my True Religion jeans. So I want that too.

Now the Replay Ladies Watch - RW5901XR- The stylish bracelet strap made of jeans and the blue dial is really different. Very cool. The perfect accessory for a night out with friends.

And I simply have to have the Replay Ladies Watch - Big RM5303DH This is totally water proof, so I can jump into any pool without any worries.

They have loads more stuff coming and I really do want to see their collection of bags. But will have to wait for that:(.

Dove Your Hair!!

I love being a member of Indiblogger( an Indian blogging community) . Not only does my blog get some exposure, we also get a chance to take part in some really fun contests. Currently Dove is sponsoring one and they did not ask us to write about them. They only asked us to tell them what we did for our hair. And that's how I ended up writing the post below on my hair- care secrets. The contest has only begun and there are some really cool prizes to be won, like an Ipad for instance. How cool is that? It's really sweet of them I'd say. But what's even cooler is that they offerred a free gift hamper to everyone. That's right. Everyone on Indiblogger. So I got one of those too. It had a shampoo, a conditioner, a serum and a hair mask which looks like lemon meringue. I must say this is the first time I am using Dove shampoo that I can remember. As an experiment, I tried the shampoo and conditioner. Apparently it has something called " Vita " oils. But it seems to be good for the hair because my hair felt silky and lay well . It has a nice smell too. On another day, I tried the mask. Again there were visible results. My hair fell properly and was soft to the touch. I must try the serum too. What are your experiences with Dove?

My Hair Care Secrets Revealed!!

Here is a picture of me when my hair is looking good. This was sometime after a hair-cut (maybe a week or so).

It's true that if you love your hair, it will love you back!! It's not going to look good for you, unless you pamper it and make it feel special. And when your hair looks good, believe me "You" will look good too!!And when you look good, you feel good and happy.
A good haircut always makes me happy. I feel a haircut that suits you is very important. It also gives a neat appearance. Whenever I feel it’s become a bit unruly, I try to get it cut. Sometimes when my head feels hot, I massage it with oil and then shampoo it. It makes me feel so fresh. I love an occasional massage. But I simply love it when someone else does it for me. Aah! So when possible I get it done at the saloon. But usually I do it myself!! Recently I started using almond oil on the advice of my stylist. But coconut oil and baby oil are also very good. Baby oil and almond oil are not that greasy. So it looks better after a shampoo. Coconut oil needs more shampoo to get it all out.
I also love it when someone washes my hair for me. So when I go for a haircut, I usually get a wash done too. It's just that feel of extra care ;) And some people have a knack for this- a soft, gentle touch. I remember once they washed and set it for me and I felt like a million bucks. It had me beaming. I really did look different!!
After I started using shampoo specifically meant for fine hair, I noticed a great difference. My hair stays properly even in humid places.
I used to have the habit of combing my hair right after toweling. I thought that was the best way to make my hair stay in order once dry. Wrong!! I must thank my sis who advised me to just run my fingers through my hair until it dries. So now I only comb after it dries and this I believe gives a nice bouncy look to it.
Sometimes I apply a hair pack or mask. Whenever possible I buy the readymade ones and do it at home so I can do other things with the pack on my head. Since it takes time, I don't do this always. But I usually feel good after that.

I've been busy for quite some time and it was Regi who woke me up from this trance with a mail." Did you see what lady Gaga was wearing for the Oscars??" I hadn't and that was a wake up call. I had to see what she wore. That's the whole point, love her or hate her, everyone wants to have at least a glance of what she wore. And that's what she wants too!!!
True what she wore for both functions, the Oscars and Grammy's were not apt. But having a good body probably helps. So while it was maybe bizarre or unusual, she walked around as if it were absolutely normal to do so. I could not check on this, but I think those shoes are Alexander McQueen. I doubt if anyone else has worn them anywhere, let alone a Red Carpet event!!! The silver dress is Armani Prive.

Embellished Heels

These heels & feet look so elegant, don't you think?? I only have one problem with embellished foot-wear, sometimes it gets caught in your sari hemline especially if there is thread work,..etc. I feel the best way to do justice would be to wear something short enough that it does not come into contact with the stone-work. Or wear tights/ a churi bottom. So you get to show off the pretty sandals & keep the clothing intact. Still as Keats put it," A thing of beauty is a joy forever." Do you think he had these in mind??;)

I did a bit of research on lipsticks. I was in search of the one that moisturizes the most. I also had a test plan. I would wear one the whole day and then decide whether to give it the thumps -up sign. And my findngs, I hope, will be useful to you. Usually this part is made of thick silk and has a ceratin stiffness. But this material is more flowy and looks good with those glittery things studded on.

I found this picture of Hillary Duff carrying one of the Valentino bags which was featured on this blog. Its' good to see someone carrying it, so u get an idea of how big it will look, the proportion etc. Hillary is carrying a purple one whereas the one shown was a nice reddish hue. I think Duffs' may go with more clothes since its' such a dark hue. But I love the pinkish red one too. It's not a small dainty bag but a large one which can carry alot of stuff.

I know its' been ages since I penned something here. I've always loved shoes and footwear in general. I think just looking at lovely footwear is relaxing and so thought of writing about Louboutins. You'd think that Louboutins have been there for ages. But no. Christian Louboutin launched his high end womens' shoes in France only in 1991.
Louboutins have a trademark red sole design. This, by the way, is patented. Louboutins are red carpet favourites and its' easy to see why when you see the designs. These are some Louboutins which caught my eye.

These are the Fergie Jumpstarts!!! Fergie, the singer from Black Eyed Peas has come out with a shoe collection. These belong to the Glitteratti collection and are made of goatskin. I love the silver studs on black and also the way the strap winds around the ankle. Its a 3 inch stilletto. So you could probably wear it for an evening out. You may not want to wear it o a day where you need to walk alot since there isn't any platforms to support you.
