Well Shilpa and Raj have finally become official. Yes they tied the knot in an extravagant wedding. The guest list had more than a liberal sprinkling of glamour. The Bollywood Brigade was there to show full support. Pink seems to be an in colour and so does gold. Gauri Khan was wearing a grey saree with dark pink flowers and Ash donned a fuschia pink salwaar with silver work. Shilpa was in gold and Raj in black. Click here for the pictures.
This is a perfect evening bag. It can be carried to many places which require you to remian poised and elegant and just look good. I have no idea what it will carry but I'm guessing a lipstick, a small mobile and some change and maybe a card or 2. The satin roses are simply divine and the gold handles and small knobs add just the right amount of glamour, sophisticated and classy.
This is the valentino blossom rose bag. It's a fairly large bag as you can see from the ad above. It's one of those elegant bags which would make anyone look classy. The handles are gold. This bag is also available in black but I think the pink looks dainty. It would add a feminine touch to anything. In my minds eye, I see it worn with black, maroon, sky blue...etc
India has a rich culture blessed with myriad artforms and crafts. If you go along the length and breadth of the land, you can see the exquisite creations in gold, silver, brass and everything else. I just came across these beautiful pieces of jewellery called " Kundan". Kundan jewellery is made of refined gold and precious stones. Kundan work was favoured by Rajasthani royalty. But today it is available all over India. They look great with ethnic party wear and will definitely dress you up. Hope you enjoy looking at these pieces as much as I do.
There is something very stylish about this LV bag. Those square shaped pieces of leather with the gold studs, the gold buckles contrasted with the white bag and of course the subtle print...all make this bag so very alluring.
I found this picture of Hillary Duff carrying one of the Valentino bags which was featured on this blog. Its' good to see someone carrying it, so u get an idea of how big it will look, the proportion etc. Hillary is carrying a purple one whereas the one shown was a nice reddish hue. I think Duffs' may go with more clothes since its' such a dark hue. But I love the pinkish red one too. It's not a small dainty bag but a large one which can carry alot of stuff.
This is one of those bags you can use through- out the year. It would go well with jeans and top, an all pink or all black outfit. Its' not exactly the kind you would want to carry to office, more like a bag you can have on a shopping trip.
Bags are a great accessory for women. A good bag always makes you happier and more confident. It just occurred to me that Stylish bags would help make any woman to make a style statement- even those who have to wear the Burkha. I came across some eye or bag candy by Valentino. I think they are all really feminine and dressy. I am drinking a toast to Mr Valentino. Hope you all enjoy the feast:))
I know its' been ages since I penned something here. I've always loved shoes and footwear in general. I think just looking at lovely footwear is relaxing and so thought of writing about Louboutins. You'd think that Louboutins have been there for ages. But no. Christian Louboutin launched his high end womens' shoes in France only in 1991. Louboutins have a trademark red sole design. This, by the way, is patented. Louboutins are red carpet favourites and its' easy to see why when you see the designs. These are some Louboutins which caught my eye.
Elizabeth Taylor apparently auctioned her Louboutins for 10,000 pounds for a charitable cause in 2005.
These are the Fergie Jumpstarts!!! Fergie, the singer from Black Eyed Peas has come out with a shoe collection. These belong to the Glitteratti collection and are made of goatskin. I love the silver studs on black and also the way the strap winds around the ankle. Its a 3 inch stilletto. So you could probably wear it for an evening out. You may not want to wear it o a day where you need to walk alot since there isn't any platforms to support you.
I happen to have a denim full sleeved shirt & was wondering what to pair with it. It has a collar and ruffles ( not thick) along the front. I have been wondering what to pair with it. Should I go for a a gathered skirt or slacks or do I have any other options???? In my quest I came across this excellent site by H and M where you can mix and match things. Its' fun. And meanwhile I am curious to know what your suggestions are.
